Abq Reclaimed is a locally run pickup service built on one simple idea: the easy choice should also be the responsible one.
Cleaning out a closet usually ends one of two ways: a carload of bags you keep meaning to drop off but never do, or a trip straight to the trash. Both are a shame. Albuquerque sends an enormous amount of perfectly reusable clothing and textiles to the landfill every year — not because people don't care, but because the responsible option takes time most of us don't have.
We started Abq Reclaimed to remove that friction entirely. You bag your clothes; we come to you. No drop-off, no fees, no need to even be home. By meeting people at their doorstep, we make the sustainable choice the effortless one.

Textiles are one of the fastest-growing and most overlooked parts of the waste stream. A huge share of what gets thrown away could be worn again or recycled into something new. We're a small, practical part of the solution: a reliable pickup that captures clothing while it still has value and passes the rest to recycling partners, doing our best to keep it out of the landfill.

Usable clothing, shoes, and accessories are sorted and rehomed through reuse and resale channels so they get worn again. Items that are too worn to wear are passed to a textile-recycling partner. A note on transparency. Abq Reclaimed is a local reuse and recycling service, not a registered 501(c)(3) charity. That means pickups aren't tax-deductible — but they are genuinely free, genuinely convenient, and they genuinely help keep clothing out of the landfill. If you specifically need a tax receipt, a registered charity may be a better fit, and we'll happily point you in the right direction.
