Moving, downsizing or clearing a house

Need someone to come get the stuff? Start here.

Every one of these starts the same way: a date on the calendar and a house, garage, or unit full of things that aren't coming with you. Pick your situation, or just text me photos and I'll tell you what I can take free — and exactly who takes the rest.

1

Send a photo

Use the pickup form or text a couple photos to (505) 250-3804 with your neighborhood. Under a minute.

2

I confirm what I can take

I review every request myself and reply about what is a fit and the day I can come. Nothing is promised until I confirm.

3

Set it out

On the day we agree on, leave it on the porch or in the garage. You do not need to be home.

4

I haul it free

I pick it up at no cost and give it a second life through resale and reuse.

Before you ask — the honest limits. Abq Reclaimed is just me, and I run a few community projects at once. So free pickups are limited and entirely at my discretion — I can't take everything, and some weeks I can't do pickups at all. Send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether I can fit it in; if I can't, I'll point you elsewhere. (Prefer to drop off? We can sometimes arrange that by appointment.) When I do collect, a few days later I send you a Reclaim Receipt telling you where your stuff went.

How a clear-out works with me

  1. Send photos — wide shots of every room, garage, and closet. Don't sort first. I read every request personally.
  2. I reply honestly: what I can take free (the resale-worthy share), what a charity or the city will take, and what needs a paid hauler. You get a plan, not just a truck.
  3. Pickup by request, around my routes. I'm one person with a trailer and a forklift; I'll tell you what's realistic for your date rather than overpromise. Drop-off by text is the surest option for smaller loads.
  4. Afterward, a Reclaim Receipt: a note telling you where the things actually went.

Why this beats a junk hauler for the good half

A hauler charges by the truckload and crushes everything the same. I'm a reseller: the tools, electronics, gear, collectibles, small appliances, scrap metal, and wearable clothes in that house are what my business runs on, so that share rides free — and it ends up with someone who wanted it instead of in a landfill. For the true junk, I'll tell you exactly who to call. Most people spend one afternoon instead of six.

Straight talk: Abq Reclaimed is one person, for-profit, and free because I resell what has a second life. I'm not a junk-removal crew and I don't pay cash — if something is genuinely valuable, sell it yourself and keep the money (my guide shows where). Pickups are by request and at my discretion, and they aren't tax-deductible.

Common questions

I have a hard date. Can you guarantee a pickup by then?

I will not promise what I cannot control — I am one person and pickups run by request around my routes. Send photos and your date early; I will tell you honestly whether I can take it all, part of it, or point you to a crew. For smaller loads, drop-off by text is the surest path.

Do you take everything, like a junk removal company?

No. I take the resale-worthy share free — tools, electronics, gear, collectibles, small appliances, scrap metal, genuine mid-century furniture, wearable clothing. For general furniture, mattresses, debris, and trash I will tell you which charity, city program, or hauler takes each, so nothing gets stranded.

Is it really free? What is the catch?

No fee, no minimum, no catch — I make my money reselling what has a second life and reclaiming the metal. The trade-offs are honest ones: pickups are by request at my discretion, and because I am a for-profit business, not a charity, they are not tax-deductible.

Can family keep going through things while you work around us?

Yes. Set aside what matters to you first; there is no rush on my end. Send photos of what is left when you are ready, and I will tell you what I can take.

Got something worth a second life?

Send a couple photos and I will tell you honestly if it is a fit. Free pickup across Albuquerque, by approval.
