Good to know
Everything you might want to know before you schedule a free Albuquerque clothing pickup.
Yes — completely. There's no fee to you, ever. We cover the pickup because keeping wearable textiles out of the landfill is worth it.
Yes. Abq Reclaimed is a one-person operation based in Albuquerque — I do the pickups myself. That means I can't always accommodate every request and scheduling can take a few days, especially outside the city. I'll always tell you honestly what I can do.
Nope. Just leave your bags or boxes on the porch, by the front door, or wherever you noted on pickup day. It's fully contactless.
Any condition. Wearable items get reused and rehomed; stained, torn, or worn-out textiles get recycled. The only things we can't take are wet, moldy, or chemically contaminated items.
Clothing, shoes, coats, bags, belts, hats, and household linens like sheets, towels, blankets, and curtains. See the full list on our what we accept page. Please keep out furniture, electronics, and anything wet or contaminated.
Most pickups happen within a few days of your request. We'll confirm your specific day by email after you submit the form.
There's no minimum and no maximum. One grocery bag is perfectly fine, and so is a whole garage full after a big clean-out — just mention the volume in your request so we bring the right vehicle.
Usable clothing is sorted and rehomed through reuse and resale channels, and the rest is passed to a recycling partner. We explain the full journey in this guide.
No. We're a local reuse and recycling service, not a registered 501(c)(3) charity, so pickups aren't tax-deductible. What you get instead is a free, no-hassle way to declutter responsibly. If you need a tax receipt, a registered charity may be a better fit.
Albuquerque and the surrounding metro — including Rio Rancho, Corrales, Los Ranchos, and nearby communities. See our service area, or just enter your address in the form and we'll confirm.
Use the pickup request form. Give us your name, phone, email, address, and preferred day, and we'll email you to confirm. It takes about a minute.
Yes. Just add your building, unit, or gate code in the notes field so we can find your bags.
Tie your bags closed and, if you can, tuck them under a porch or overhang. If weather forces us to reschedule, we'll email you a new day.
