Before you ask — the honest limits. Abq Reclaimed is just me, and I run a few community projects at once. So free pickups are limited and entirely at my discretion — I can't take everything, and some weeks I can't do pickups at all. Send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether I can fit it in; if I can't, I'll point you elsewhere. (Prefer to drop off? We can sometimes arrange that by appointment.) When I do collect, a few days later I send you a Reclaim Receipt telling you where your stuff went.
Who this is for
Small shops, offices, studios, salons, gyms, restaurants, repair shops, and hobby businesses winding down — anyone staring at shelves of equipment with a lease deadline. I'm a reseller with a forklift and a trailer, not a liquidator: I take what has a second life, free, and I'm honest about what doesn't.
What I take from a business
- Tools, benches, and shop equipment — see industrial & commercial equipment for the heavy stuff
- Electronics, computers, audio/video, networking gear — working or not (data wiped or drives pulled at your request)
- Music, studio, and stage gear; fitness equipment in good shape
- Kitchen and small appliances, quality restaurant smallwares
- Fixtures, racks, shelving, and displays with resale value
- Inventory and supplies in usable condition; scrap metal and dead machinery (the metal is why it's free)
What I'll tell you straight
If a single piece is clearly valuable — a commercial mixer, a CNC tool, a high-end printer — sell it yourself and keep the money; I'll even say which marketplace. Particle-board desks, worn office chairs, and general trash aren't mine, and I'll point you to the right hauler or the City's large-item pickup. What's left in the middle — the useful, sellable, un-glamorous stuff — is exactly what I haul free.
One person, straight talk. I'll be upfront about volume and timing — I won't overcommit to a deadline I can't meet. Send wide photos of every room plus your lease-out date, and I'll tell you honestly what I can take and when. Pickup is by request and at my discretion.

Common questions
Do you buy business equipment or pay for inventory?
No — this is free removal, not a buy service. If something is clearly valuable, sell it yourself and keep the money; I will tell you which marketplace fits. What I offer is a free, honest clear-out of the resale-worthy middle, with a Reclaim Receipt showing where it went.
Can you clear an office by our lease-out date?
Tell me the date and send photos of every room. I am one person, so I will answer honestly whether I can take it all, part of it, or point you to a bigger crew. I would rather say no early than miss your deadline.
What about computers with company data?
Pull the drives or wipe them before pickup if you have a policy — or tell me and I will pull and return the drives to you. I recover value from the machines either way, working or not.
Do you take restaurant or salon equipment?
Yes, by request — from smallwares and small appliances to heavier equipment (that is where the forklift comes in; see the industrial equipment page). Refrigeration with refrigerant is case by case and handled legally.
Is any of this tax-deductible?
No — Abq Reclaimed is a for-profit reuse business, not a 501(c)(3), so pickups are not tax-deductible. You get a Reclaim Receipt (where it went), not a tax receipt.
