The whole process

How free clothing pickup works

No fees, no hauling your stuff across town, no need to be home. From "I should clean out my closet" to done in about five minutes of effort.

1

Request a pickup

Fill out the short form with your address and the best day. It takes under a minute and there's no obligation.

2

Bag it up

Put your clothing, shoes, and linens into any trash bag, grocery bag, or box. Any condition is welcome.

3

Set it out

On pickup day, leave the bags on your porch, by the front door, or wherever you noted in the form.

4

We take it away

Our local team swings by and collects it — completely free. You'll get a confirmation, and your items get a second life.

What to expect, step by step

We built Abq Reclaimed to be the easiest way in Albuquerque to clear out clothes you no longer wear. Here's what actually happens after you hit submit.

1. You request a pickup online

Head to the pickup request form and tell us your name, a phone number, your pickup address, and the day that works best. If you have a rough idea of how much you're setting out — a couple of bags or a whole closet's worth — let us know so we can plan the route. There is never a charge, and requesting a pickup doesn't lock you into anything.

2. We confirm your day by email

After you submit, you'll hear back from us by email to lock in your pickup day. Most pickups happen within a few days of your request, depending on where you are in the metro and how our routes line up that week.

3. You bag your clothes and leave them out

Use whatever you have on hand — kitchen trash bags, grocery bags, cardboard boxes, an old suitcase. Tie or fold the tops closed so nothing blows away or gets wet. On the morning of your pickup, set everything in a spot that's easy to see from the street: the front porch, next to the garage, or by the front door. If you live in a gated community or apartment, just add a note in the form with the gate code or building details.

Pro tip: Label the bags "ABQ RECLAIMED" with a marker or a sticky note if you're worried about mix-ups with regular trash day. It's not required, but it helps.

4. We pick it up — contactless and free

You don't need to be home. We collect the bags from where you left them, and that's it. The clothes that can be worn again get sorted and rehomed; everything else is passed to a recycling partner where we can, to keep it out of the landfill. One bag or ten, the pickup is always free. (Want the honest, behind-the-scenes version? Read our promise.)

One person, straight talk. Abq Reclaimed is a one-person operation — I'm based in Albuquerque and do every pickup myself. I can't always accommodate every request, and scheduling can take a few days, but I'll always tell you honestly what I can do.

How soon will we come?

Most Albuquerque pickups are scheduled within a few days. If you're on a tight timeline — moving out, staging a home, clearing an estate — mention it in your request and we'll do our best to get to you quickly.

Is there a limit on how much I can give?

No. Whether it's a single grocery bag or a garage full of boxes after a big closet purge, we'll take it. If you have an unusually large amount, just note it in the form so we bring the right vehicle.
