The signature promise

A pickup that tells you exactly where your stuff went

Drop a bag at a thrift store and it vanishes into a sea of bins — you never hear another word. I do the opposite. A few days after I pick up, I send you a Reclaim Receipt.

When you give your things to a charity, you might get a slip for your taxes — a number you'll never look at again. I can't give you that (I'm a for-profit reuse business, not a 501(c)(3)). What I give you instead is something most people find actually means more: the truth about where your stuff went.

Here's what one looks like

Hi Maria — here's where your pickup went 🌿

• The kids' bikes went to a family in the South Valley.

• The camping gear and the DeWalt drill are being resold to fund the next free pickup.

• The worn-out tees and torn sheets went to textile recycling.

• That's about 41 lbs kept out of the Albuquerque landfill from this load.

Your lifetime total with Abq Reclaimed: 112 lbs across 3 pickups. Thank you. — Josh

Illustrative example. Your real receipt names what you actually gave and where it actually went.

What's on it

Where the main pieces went

The notable parts of your pickup — rehomed, resold, or recycled. Real outcomes, not a vague "it helps people."

Pounds kept out of the landfill

My best honest estimate of what your haul kept out of the landfill, plus a running lifetime total across every pickup you've done with me.

From a name, not a logo

It comes from me — the person who actually came and got it — by text or email, no extra step.

Why no thrift store can do this

It isn't that they won't — it's that they can't. Goodwill, Savers, and the big charities commingle millions of donations into bulk bins and sorting lines the moment they arrive. There's no chain of custody, no way to trace your specific bag, and no reason in their model to try.

Because I'm one person who hand-handles every pickup from one identified household, I can honestly close that loop in a way a commingled bin never could. It's not a marketing gimmick — it's a structural advantage of doing this by hand, on purpose.

That's the whole trade: you give up a tax receipt you'd never read, and you get the truth about where your things went. Read the full, no-greenwashing promise →
