Before you ask — the honest limits. Abq Reclaimed is just me, and I run a few community projects at once. So free pickups are limited and entirely at my discretion — I can't take everything, and some weeks I can't do pickups at all. Send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether I can fit it in; if I can't, I'll point you elsewhere. (Prefer to drop off? We can sometimes arrange that by appointment.) When I do collect, a few days later I send you a Reclaim Receipt telling you where your stuff went.
What I most want from Downtown garages, sheds and closets
Tools (hand, power and yard), electronics and old audio (working or not), camping and outdoor gear, bikes, sporting goods, musical instruments, small appliances, scrap metal, and vintage and collectible finds — records, cameras, sewing machines, calculators, old toys. That's the stuff a thrift bin undervalues and a junk hauler crushes; I photograph it, find it a real home, and send you a Reclaim Receipt. Doing a whole garage cleanout? Even better — send wide shots of the mess.
Clothing too — if it's wearable
Downtown pickup without the hassle
Living downtown means walkable everything — except, somehow, a clothing donation. Between apartments, lofts, and limited parking, a donation run is a real chore. Abq Reclaimed makes it disappear: bag your clothes, leave them out, and we collect them from your building free of charge.
Start by requesting a pickup and choosing your day. Add your building, unit, or buzzer details in the notes so we can reach your bags. Clean, wearable clothing gets rehomed — and truly worn-out textiles belong in textile recycling, not a pickup bag. Got gear, tools, or electronics in the garage too? Even better.
